Sing with OCO: Join Our Chorus for the June Unity Concert!
Do you love to sing? The Olympia Chamber Orchestra is inviting voices from across the South Puget Sound to come together for our Unity Concert, the final performance of our 2025–2026 season on June 21, 2026. This is your chance to be part of an inspiring musical celebration. No opera stage experience required, just enthusiasm and a love of music!
About the Concert
Our June program, titled Unity, will include various opera choruses. Some selections may include:
“Va, pensiero” from Verdi’s Nabucco
“Regina Coeli” from Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana
“Libiamo ne’ lieti calici” from Verdi’s La Traviata
“Salve Regina” from Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites
“Stomp Your Foot” and “The Promise of Living” from Copland’s The Tender Land
…and more!
What to Expect
Volunteer chorus – no participation fees (you may be asked to print your music).
Rehearsals – about 2 hours per week, plus extra rehearsals close to the concert with the Orchestra, and the performance.
Audition Process: Accompanist provided – you’ll have full musical support during auditions. Please have your music submitted two weeks prior to the audition.
Foreign Language Audition Excerpt — we ask that the audition excerpt be in a foreign language. If you do not have an excerpt, we can provide recommendations.
