Mendelssohn’s Reformation Symphony celebrates spiritual renewal, weaving the chorale “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” into a triumphant vision of faith and unity. Aulin’s Mäster Olof Suite, drawn from Strindberg’s play about Sweden’s great reformer Olaus Petri, captures the energy of cultural change with folk-inspired color and romantic expression.
